Right from its founding, MusicTrace has been the preferred partner of Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS for bringing its audio watermarking technology to the market. Now, this technical partnership is extended by a financial association between Fraunhofer and MusicTrace.

Erlangen, 8th March 2005. In February 2005 Fraunhofer became a new associate of MusicTrace GmbH. This shows that Fraunhofer is convinced of MusicTrace?s innovative business model providing services and products based on the advanced technology of Fraunhofer IIS and Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology IDMT.

Dr. Christian Neubauer, CEO of MusicTrace: "We are very happy about the collaboration with Fraunhofer, which not only brings great technology but also a strong business partner into our company."

If you are interested in more information please meet us at our joined exhibition stand at CeBIT, March 10 - 16, 2005 (hall 9, booth no. B36) or subscribe to our newsletter at www.musictrace.de.

About MusicTrace

MusicTrace is a technology oriented company founded in August 2004 as a spin-off of Fraunhofer IIS in Erlangen. Being a B2B company, MusicTrace is using latest multimedia technologies for gathering utilization information of music and commercials in broadcasting channels and the Internet. MusicTrace offers products and services in two business areas:

Broadcast Monitoring: Using its broadcast monitoring system, MusicTrace scans radio- and TV programs 24 hours, seven days a week. The gathered information is provided as play lists and, additionally, the speech/music ratio is determined. The system works for ?everything that sounds?, especially music and commercials.

Audio Watermarking: MusicTrace offers software products which allow the embedding of digital watermarks into audio content. Using this technology it is possible to embed e.g. a customer number during the download or the production of promotional CDs. Together with MusicTrace?s Internet search service it is possible to trace illegal acting users.
